About Our Program
Welcome to our little slice of puppy paradise!
Hi! We are the Ellis crew and here at Guinevere’s Family Goldens, we’re not a kennel — we’re a family. Our dogs live in our home, not in cages or runs. They’re our companions first, and future puppy parents second.

Because we value the bond we share with each of our dogs, we only plan a small number of litters each year. This allows us to pour time, energy, and heart into every puppy we raise.

From the moment they’re born, our puppies are handled daily, loved deeply, and gently introduced to the rhythms of family life — sights, sounds, snuggles, and all. We practice early neurological stimulation and purposeful socialization to help them grow into calm, confident, emotionally balanced companions.

Each puppy receives individual attention, not just group care. We get to know their personalities, nurture their development, and match them with families based on fit — not just availability.

We believe in quality over quantity, and that how a puppy is raised in the first 8–10 weeks of life makes all the difference in the world.

Our goal isn’t just to raise “nice dogs” — it’s to raise healthy, happy, well-adjusted family members… one litter at a time.

How We Got Started
We'd like you to meet Guinevere, the English Cream Retriever who started it all.
Back in 2017, we turned into dog detectives on a quest for the ultimate family pet to raise alongside our kids, providing companionship and love. When we found Guinevere, it was love at first sight! Now, we’re on a mission to breed English Cream Retriever puppies who are just as charming as she is—because every family deserves a furry sidekick.
These days, Guinevere is enjoying her retirement on our farm here in East Tennessee, chasing field mice in the orchard or fetching balls for the kids with our other dog, Ivy. While Guinevere may have stepped back, she continues to be the heart and soul of our business, embodying the spirit of love and companionship we aim to share with you through our puppies.
We are excited to announce that Ivy, our beloved "smiling dog", after raising from a puppy, has surpassed our expectations and with the gentlest temperament I've ever seen, will be welcomed her first litter spring of 2025.
